新加坡终于等到这一天！
2008年8月15日，这将是每个新加坡人都会记住的日期。
李佳薇、王越古、冯天薇，将是每个新加坡人都会记得的三个名字。
48年的漫长等待终于在昨天8月15日结束，由李佳薇（27岁）、王越古（28岁）和冯天薇（21岁）所组成的新加坡女子乒乓队在北京奥运会女子团体半决赛中打出了优异表现，以3比2力挫韩国，为我国夺得梦寐以求的奥运奖牌。
新加坡将在明天的决赛中与中国争夺金牌，后者在另一场半决赛中以3比0轻取香港。不管决赛结果如何，我国已肯定至少获得一枚银牌，这是我国自举重选手陈浩亮在1960年罗马奥运会上获得银牌，阔别48年后所赢得的首枚奥运会奖牌。

although they from china...i still don't get it why we an't use local players. having a medal but with 'borrowed' talent is not entirely cheng2 shi2 rite? evenn if we keep getting kicked out if we use local talent, at least when they really achieve something then we can be truly proud. still, against my own pride, i will say once only, 'go team singa!' :)
起码他们也成为了新加坡永久公民，也算是我们的一分子！做人不要太计较吗？呵呵
老师，do you think the 3 players know how to sing our national anthem if we won the gold medal? =）

i think they were mouthing china's national anthem when it was being played.... can't be sure... i wonder if they still rmb it..... anyway, i'd feel much better if they use singaporeans. bt since they r representing spg...JIA YOU! li jia wei and feng tian wei got into the top 8 for singles! i hope they can win another medal for singapore.... JIA YOU ! JIAYOU!

不管怎么样，她们已经是我们的一分子，她们穿着新加坡的球衣代表我们得到这份光荣，是值我们尊敬的。王越古，李佳薇，冯天薇，我爱你们！
Actually it does not matter where they are from. The fact is the they played for Singapore and got a silver medal under Singapore's name. It should be our pride for them and not to compare where they are truly from Go Team Singapore!
would u get pupils from other schools to represent our school in a interschool competition? it's juz not appopriate to say that they can represent us under our name coz we trained them for it. :(
